Copyeditor (Digital Division)
I worked as copyeditor, overseeing the editorial quality standard of online student resources and digital learning products offered by Honoris United Universities (the largest pan-African private higher education network).
I worked for their Digital Division, which digitised many leading university institutions' educational products, such as Bachelor's Degrees, Masters courses, short courses, and mini courses (e.g. Nile University of Nigeria, and The Animation School in South Africa).
Included:

Editorial quality assurance of educational and marketing content in multiple formats, and maintaining alignment with the quality standards and styles of Honoris United Universities and its associated institutions.

Copyediting videos for all coursework: proofreading and editing video transcripts and on-screen text in videos, performing accessibility checks and securing downloadable PDF documents (transcript docs).

Editing storyboards for all courses: formatting content and ensuring compliance with the designated style guide (per university).

I refreshed and created new webcopy for a NGO to align with their updated branding guidelines. The NGO focuses on identifying and reuniting missing children with their relatives, using programmes and initiatives that use DNA-testing.

- I researched and immersed myself into the client's vision, brand identity, and newly revised brand voice, to gain a clearer understanding of the client's messaging and unique target audience.
- I revised and refreshed all web copy across the website, ensuring brand voice consistency throughout.
